Mwitu Tours & Travel offers recreational, educational and institutional tours, we provide travel packages that include short and long trips designed to suit pre-primary, primary, secondary schools and University students to the following destination within Uganda and East Africa in general.

Some of the places may be out of bounds OR fully booked at our time of travel, Mwitu tours and travel reserves the right to change to an alternative site, we shall however ensure clear and timely communication to the school.

These packages are custom made for local Ugandan schools in a way of empowering the young generation about Ugandan tourism potentials, uniqueness and. These tours are 1-day tours from 8:00am – 6:00 pm.
The prices below are designed for local Ugandan schools, it thus excludes international schools within and outside Uganda. Interested Ugandan international schools are kindly requested to contact us.
International school outside Uganda interested to tour with some of these schools, a minimum pay of USD 150 per person and it is advisable to book in advance. (Activities include; sharing with the kids, feeding and serving kids, touring, playing and singing along with the kids).
Cost Packages articulated below includes; transportation, entrances to all attraction, meals and drinks provided for schools. Depending on the package you have booked with us. Multiple day trips, accommodation is inclusive.
Excludes. Accommodations, insurance, personal expenses, beverages and meals not mentioned and long trips for more than 1 day.

Booking
- Booking should be done at least 25 days prior the travel date to allow us time for conclusive and effective organization
- For every 20-15 learners, one teacher will accompany the group and catered for
- The tour leader/tour committee shall have to compile and handover a list of learners and the accompanying adults’/teachers prior departure
- Package costs of learner vary depending on destination, site entrance costs and guiding fees as every trip is tailor made to achieve the educational purpose and suit the curricula in accordance to the teachers’ guidance.
Accommodation
- We provide shared accommodation on any of the packages in a hostel hall setting for learners, separate from that of teachers, we ensure comfort in all our night rest halls and safety
Tour Requirements
- The tour leader/contact teacher will have to fill a tour booking form will all the details and expectations on the trip.
- The minimum number of individuals to book is 45, for smaller groups than the minimum, a quotation will be ran to suit that specific group, with an adjustment.
Allergies, Dietary and Health Requirements
- Contact information, allergies, dietary and any other health requirement information for every individual learner should be submitted to Mwitu Tours and Travel management 14 days before the departure date.
- For seriously severe allergies, parents should be advised to directly communicate with the tour leader throughout the week for better arrangement of the trip ahead.
Behavioural Standards
- Students are expected to maintain a high standard of behaviour, School rules and regulation will still apply and students are expected to adhere to the laws and guidelines of the destinations and accommodations
Cancellation Policy
- Cancellation fees apply, a booking is confirmed with a deposit of at least 30% of the total sum of the package, cancellation policy of third party partners (is Hostels, Buses meals supplier etc. will apply) a non-refundable deposit to the suppliers on booking is applicable.
- A charge of Ugx 150,000/= will apply on booking cancelled within 7days or more days before the tour commencement date, cancellation between 6-4 days will call for Ugx 200,000/= charges, where a cancellation in less than 4 days a charge of 400,000/= apply.
